Today I learned a little about my spirituality. I talked to one of my roommates about religion and spirituality. She is Buddhist and I am L.D.S. Naturally, this became a very interesting conversation about beliefs. I shared my beliefs with her and found myself contemplating. I think for me I believe that there is truth in every religion. I tend to believe that God made things so that all people and cultures could understand. There are too many similar things between all kinds of beliefs. There is a great power the highest of all some call it God, Buddha, Elohim, and Jehovah. They all believe that there is life after death. They all believe that there is a reason for all things. Most of all they all teach people in their culture about how to be better beings. I always wonder why people in the name of religion kill another. I think that entirely defeats the purpose. I don't think there is anything wrong with tolerating others. I am a firm believer that diversity is what makes life interesting and teaches us about other people. These are just some random thoughts on my mind.
